Alice Greko is an artist and photographer living in North Carolina. As a wildlife artist, most of her images are of nature. Never far from her camera, she loves to capture the beauty found around us. She takes advantage of digital technology to mix her painting with her photography to create striking images. She believes that art should add beauty, peace or humor to life.
Her use of light and color make her pieces memorable. In the process of creating her art, she may combine two or more images, change colors, paint with a "computer brush", simplify or enhance what she has captured with her camera. She also uses colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic media.
She has had solo exhibits in the Florida cities of Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Margate, Boca Raton, Hallandale Beach, and Tamarac. In addition to the beautiful birds of Florida, she finds inspiration from her travels to Alaska, Canada, Iceland, Switzerland, Great Britain, Mexico, South Africa, Australia, Brazil,Argentina, Chile, Bonaire, China, Costa Rica and Ecuador.
